We use the Present Simple for actions that happen regularly or are always true.
- Habits and Routines: Things you do often. For example, She eats breakfast every day.
- Facts and General Truths: Things that are always true. For example, The sun rises in the east.
- Schedules and Timetables: Fixed events. For example, The train leaves at 7 PM.

When Do We Use the Present Continuous?
We use the Present Continuous for actions that are happening at the moment of speaking or for temporary situations.
- Actions Happening Now: Things you are doing at this exact moment. For example, I am studying English right now.
- Temporary Situations: Actions that are happening for a limited time. For example, They are living in London this month.
- Developing Situations: Changes that are happening. For example, The weather is getting colder.
Common time expressions for the Present Continuous include now, right now, at the moment, today, this week/month.
How Do We Form These Tenses?
The forms of the Present Simple и Present Continuous are different.
- Present Simple: We use the base form of the verb. For he/she/it, we add -s или -es. Например, I work, She works.
- Present Continuous: Мы используем am/is/are + verb + -ing. Например, I am working, She is working, They are working.

Many Spanish speakers sometimes use the Present Simple for actions happening right now, similar to how it works in Spanish. However, in English, this is often incorrect.
