To talk about what you are able to do, or what is possible, use the English word can. For things you are not able to do, or that are not possible, use can’t. Can is a special verb called a ‘modal verb’. This means it does not change its form for different subjects like I, you, he, 、または they. You always use the base form of another verb (the infinitive without ‘to’) right after can または can’t. For example, I can swim means you have the ability to swim. She can’t fly means she does not have the ability to fly. It’s a very common and useful verb for A1 learners to express abilities.
